Car
If you're driving, take the A56 motorway from anywhere in Campania. Depending on your starting point, follow signs for 'Napoli' and merge onto the A56. Once in Naples, follow signs for 'Zona Vomero'. Exit at 'Via Cilea' and continue on Via Cilea until you reach 'Via Tito Angelini'. You can park at the closest public parking lots nearby, which may charge around €1.50 per hour.
Public Transportation - Metro
Take the Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) towards 'Piscinola'. Get off at the 'Vanvitelli' station. From there, walk to the nearby 'Cilea - Vanvitelli' bus stop and catch the R4 bus, which will take you to 'Via Tito Angelini'. The bus fare is approximately €1.10. Once you get off, it's a short walk up the hill to Castel Sant'Elmo.
Public Transportation - Bus
You can also take the local bus from Naples city center. Buses C13 and C21 run towards the Vomero district. Get off at 'Via Tito Angelini'. The bus fare is around €1.10. After disembarking, it's a short walk uphill to the castle.
Walking
For those who enjoy a stroll, if you're staying in the Vomero area, you can walk to Castel Sant'Elmo. From the center of Vomero, head towards 'Via Tito Angelini'. The walk is approximately 20-30 minutes, and it offers beautiful views of Naples as you ascend.
