Walking
From the main square in Capri, Piazza Umberto I, head east on Via Vittorio Emanuele. Continue straight until you reach the funicular station. Take the funicular down to Marina Grande. Once at Marina Grande, look for the hydrofoil or ferry terminal, and purchase a ticket to Pompei. The ferry ride to Naples takes about 50 minutes. Upon arrival at Naples, follow the signs to the Circumvesuviana train station located in the lower level of the station. Take the train towards Sorrento and get off at Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri station. From there, it's a short walk to the archaeological site of Pompei.
Ferry and Train
Start at the Marina Grande in Capri. Look for the ferry service to Naples. Buy your ticket and board the ferry, which will take approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Naples, exit the ferry terminal and walk to the Circumvesuviana train station. Purchase a ticket for the train to Sorrento and get on the train. After about 30-35 minutes, disembark at the Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri station. Follow the signs to the Pompei archaeological site, which is just a short walk from the station.
