To reach Positano from Capri, head to the Marina Grande ferry terminal, which is a short walk from the center of Capri. Follow the signs towards the marina and you'll see the dock area. Purchase a ticket from the ticket counter or vending machines for a ferry to Positano. Ferries run frequently, but make sure to check the schedule for the last ferry of the day. Once on the ferry, enjoy the scenic ride along the coast of the Amalfi Coast. Upon arrival in Positano, you'll disembark directly at the harbor. From there, you can explore the picturesque town.

For a more private and possibly quicker option, consider taking a boat taxi from Capri to Positano. You can find boat taxi services at the Marina Grande. Approach one of the boat taxi stands and negotiate a fare with the captain for a direct ride to Positano. The boat taxi will take you along the stunning coastline. Be sure to confirm the drop-off point in Positano, as they may vary depending on the weather and sea conditions.
Hiking
If you're adventurous and enjoy hiking, there's a scenic hiking trail that connects Capri to Positano, known as the Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods). The trail begins in Bomerano, which you can reach by taking a bus from Amalfi or a ferry from Capri to Amalfi, and then a bus to Bomerano. The hike is approximately 7.5 kilometers and takes about 3-4 hours. It offers breathtaking views of the coastline and the surrounding landscape. Once you reach Nocelle, you can descend to Positano via a series of stairs.
