From Catania, head to the Catania Central Bus Station (Stazione degli Autobus) located at Via Archimede, 95100 Catania. Look for the bus companies that operate routes to Taormina; you can choose from several options like Interbus or Etna Trasporti. Purchase a ticket to Taormina, which should cost around €5-€10. The bus journey takes about 1 hour. Upon arriving at the Taormina bus station, follow the signs towards the town center, which is a short 15-minute walk uphill along Corso Umberto. Continue straight until you reach Piazza IX Aprile and then take Salita Ciampoli to find Palazzo Ciampoli.

From Catania, go to the Catania Centrale train station located at Piazza Giovanni Verga. Buy a ticket for a train to Taormina-Giardini station; the ticket costs approximately €5. The train ride will take around 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Taormina-Giardini, exit the station and head towards the bus stop outside. Take the local bus (line 1 or 2) towards Taormina Centro. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the stop for Corso Umberto. Walk straight along Corso Umberto until you reach Piazza IX Aprile, then follow Salita Ciampoli to arrive at Palazzo Ciampoli.
