If you're driving from the center of Chianti Classico, take the SR222 road towards Florence. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Florence. When you arrive at the roundabout near the city center, take the first exit onto Viale Giovanni Amendola. Follow this road until you reach Viale Michelangelo. Turn left onto Via di S. Leonardo. The Forte di Belvedere will be on your right after a short distance. Look for parking areas nearby, as street parking may be limited.

To reach Forte di Belvedere using public transportation, first take a bus from any location in Chianti Classico to Florence. Look for the SITA buses that connect Chianti towns to Florence, such as the bus from Greve in Chianti to Florence. Once you arrive at the Florence bus station (Piazza della Libertà), transfer to bus line 12 or 13, which will take you towards Viale Michelangelo. Get off at the stop 'Piazzale Michelangelo' and walk up Via di S. Leonardo, which leads directly to the Forte di Belvedere. The walk will take about 10 minutes.
