From the central Piazza della Cisterna in San Gimignano, head east on Via San Giovanni. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street. You will see a sign for the bus station on your left. Follow the signs to the bus station and take the bus to Florence (Firenze). The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Florence, get off at the main bus station, Firenze S.M.N. (Santa Maria Novella). From there, walk to Via Ghibellina for about 15 minutes by heading southeast on Via Nazionale, then turn left onto Via Ghibellina. Casa Buonarroti will be on your left at number 70.
