From the Piazza della Cisterna in San Gimignano, head west towards Via San Giovanni. Continue straight onto Via San Giovanni until you reach the intersection with Via delle Fonti. Turn right onto Via delle Fonti and continue walking until you reach the San Gimignano bus station. From there, take the bus towards Florence. After approximately an hour, you will arrive at the Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence. From the train station, exit onto Via Alamanni, then take Via della Scala to Via dei Panzani, which will lead you to Piazza della Repubblica. From there, follow Via Calzaiuoli straight to reach the Duomo. Costa S. Giorgio is located near the Arno River, northwest of the Duomo, so continue towards the river and you'll find it a short walk from there.

After about 1 hour, you will arrive at the Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence. Once you arrive, exit the station and head towards Via Alamanni. Walk down this road until you reach the intersection with Via della Scala, then turn left. Continue on Via della Scala until you reach the bustling area around Piazza della Repubblica. From here, follow Via Calzaiuoli straight towards the Duomo. After visiting the Duomo, walk towards the Arno River, where you will find Costa S. Giorgio approximately 10 minutes away on foot.
