Heritage and Vision
Diadema Wine & EVO was founded in 2004 by Alberto, driven by a dream to create wines that reflect the true heart of Tuscany. Situated in the rolling hills just 15 minutes from Florence's center, the winery embodies a philosophy of devotion to the land—preserving tradition while shaping the future. Today, under the continued guidance of Alberto and in partnership with Francesco Bellini, Diadema has evolved into a symbol of quality and elegance, where every bottle tells the story of family heritage and deep respect for the terroir.
The Supertuscan Experience
The flagship offering is the Diadema Supertuscan Experience, a comprehensive 1 hour 15 minute journey through wine and olive oil production. The experience begins with a guided tour of the historic winery, where visitors gain full immersion into the history of wine, fermentation techniques, and aging processes. This educational component is followed by a visit to the on-site olive mill, Frantoio Villa l'Olmo, where traditional olive pressing using granite stones is demonstrated and explained. The experience culminates in a professional tasting of five IGT Supertuscan wines and two extra virgin olive oils, served on Tuscan bread in a magnificent panoramic setting overlooking the Tuscan hills.
Wine and Oil Production
What distinguishes Diadema is its commitment to complete vertical integration. The winery produces its own wines and extra virgin olive oil on the property, allowing visitors to witness the entire production process from vineyard to bottle and mill to table. The wines are crafted with meticulous care and integrity, while the olive oils are pressed using traditional methods that preserve flavor and quality. Visitors consistently praise the exceptional quality of both products, with the olive oil frequently highlighted for its flavorful profile and subtle spice notes.
Facilities and Hospitality
Beyond wine and oil tastings, Diadema offers a full resort experience. The property includes a hotel with accommodations, a wine bar and restaurant serving food in an enchanting setting surrounded by Tuscan green hills, and a sales area where visitors can purchase wines, oils, and gift boxes. The staff is renowned for their knowledge, warmth, and attentiveness, with guides like Lorenzo, Stefania, and Filipo frequently mentioned for their expertise and ability to create memorable experiences. The winery accommodates groups from one to 14 people for tastings, with private experiences available, particularly during low season.
Accessibility and Logistics
Located at Via Imprunetana per Tavarnuzze, 17, in Impruneta, the winery is easily accessible from Florence. The property is open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Online booking is required and can be completed in under a minute through multiple platforms. The experience is available in English and Italian. Free cancellation is offered up to one day prior to the scheduled visit. The winery also offers worldwide shipping for purchased products, making it convenient for international visitors to take home their selections.
