Train
If you are in one of the Cinque Terre villages (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, or Manarola), take the train towards Levanto. The train ride will take approximately 5 to 15 minutes depending on your starting point. Get off at the Levanto train station.

Walking
From Levanto train station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Via Domenico Grillo. Turn left onto Via Domenico Grillo and walk straight. After about 500 meters, look for signs directing you to Sentiero 1 (Trail 1) which will lead you to Monterosso. The trailhead starts at the end of the street.

Hiking
Once you reach the trailhead for Sentiero 1, follow the well-marked path that leads through beautiful landscapes and coastal views. The hike to Monterosso takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pace. Enjoy the stunning views and take breaks as needed along the way. The trail will eventually lead you directly into Monterosso al Mare.
