Car
Starting from the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo, head south on Corso Italia towards Via Cesare Battisti. Continue on this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road to Passo Giau (SP638). Turn left onto SP638 and follow the road for approximately 10 kilometers. Look for the sign for 'Monte Nuvolau' and turn onto the road leading to Rifugio Nuvolau. You may need to park at the designated parking area, which may incur a fee of around €5-€10 for the day.

From the main bus station in Cortina d'Ampezzo, take the bus headed towards Passo Giau (check the local schedule for exact times). The bus ride lasts approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop near Rifugio Nuvolau. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer up a well-marked hiking path to reach the summit of Monte Nuvolau. Ensure you have some change ready for the bus fare, which is typically around €2-€4.
