Car
If you're driving from the popular seaside town of Rimini, take the A14 highway north towards Bologna. After approximately 140 km, take the exit towards A13/Bologna/Padova. Continue on A13 for about 16 km, then take the exit towards Bologna Centro. Follow the signs for SS64 and merge onto Via della Libertà. Continue straight and follow signs for Castel Maggiore. After around 10 km, you will arrive at Gazzo located at Via Ilaria Alpi, 40013 Castel Maggiore BO. Parking is available on the street, but be mindful of local parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach Gazzo using public transport from Bologna, start at Bologna Centrale train station. Take a train towards Ferrara and get off at the Castel Maggiore station. The train ride takes about 15 minutes. From Castel Maggiore station, you can take a local bus (Line 91) towards Via Ilaria Alpi, which will drop you off just a short walk from Gazzo. The bus ride takes approximately 10 minutes, and tickets can be purchased at the station or from the bus driver, costing about €1.50.
