Bologna Surroundings Photo Tour: Rolling Hills and Ravines

See Bologna outside the city, through the eyes of an exceptional local photographer

I booked with Francesco as I wanted to see more of the agricultural region outside of Bologna itself, from a local who knew the area well. Francesco did not disappoint. We visited mediaeval villages, vineyards and ravines, and sunflower fields. He is able to share stunning locations he has personally discovered, precisely when the light is best. He is a great photographer, but also great company. Francesco shared knowledge of the local food, history, and personal experiences from Bologna. Even if you are only slightly interested in photography, this is a great way to see what the region is about outside of the city itself. Highly recommend. Also, make sure you ask to visit his favourite gelato place.

Great fun - even on a rainy day...

Great fun - even on a rainy day. Beautiful countryside and the castles particularly in Vignola are spectacular. Lunch at the Osteria Della Luna was outstanding. This was an excellent trip and the team at the local tour operator were great - really helpful.
