If you are in the city center of Bologna, you can reach Porta degli Angeli in Ferrara by taking a train from Bologna Centrale. Head to Bologna Centrale train station, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main Piazza Maggiore. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Ferrara. Trains run frequently, so you should find a departure within 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving at Ferrara station, exit the station and head towards the city center. You can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a bus. If you choose to walk, follow Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi straight until you reach the historic center. Once you reach the city walls, continue along the walls until you find Rampari di Belfiore. Porta degli Angeli will be clearly marked.
