If you are starting from the historic center of Florence, make your way to Piazza della Signoria. From there, head southeast towards Via dei Gondi. Continue straight until you reach Via dei Benci, then turn left. Follow this street until you reach the Arno River. Cross the river via the Ponte alle Grazie. Once across, turn right onto Lungarno Vespucci and continue along the river until you reach the next bridge, Ponte San Niccolò. Cross the bridge and continue straight on Via San Niccolò, which will lead you to Via delle Porte Sante. The Basilica di San Miniato will be on your left.

If you prefer taking the bus, head to the nearest bus stop in the city center, such as at Piazza Santa Maria Novella. Take bus number 12 or 13 towards 'Fiesole' and get off at the stop 'Porte Sante.' From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to the Basilica di San Miniato. Just walk straight down Via delle Porte Sante and you will find the entrance on your right.
