Walking
If you are starting from the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), head south on Via dei Calzaiuoli towards Piazza della Signoria. Once you reach the piazza, turn right onto Via dei Gondi, and continue straight until you reach the Ponte Vecchio. Cross the bridge and walk along the riverbank on the left side. After about 10 minutes, you'll reach the Pitti Palace. From there, continue on the left side of the road until you reach Via Romana. Turn left onto Via Romana and La Specola will be on your right at number 17.

From the main train station, Santa Maria Novella, take bus number 11 towards 'Careggi'. Get off at the 'Piazza della Libertà' stop. From there, walk towards the 'Piazza della Signoria' and follow the walking directions from the previous option. Alternatively, you can take the bus 36 towards 'Lungarno Colombo' and get off at 'Piazza Pitti'. Walk along the river to Via Romana and then turn left until you reach La Specola.
