From Florence, head to the main bus station, Firenze S.M.N. (Santa Maria Novella). Look for the bus service named 'SITA' that goes to Radda in Chianti. Purchase your ticket from the kiosk or the automatic machines at the station. Take the bus towards Radda in Chianti, which typically takes about 1.5 hours. When you arrive at the Radda in Chianti bus stop, exit the bus and head east on Via Roma, then turn left onto Località Il Becco. Continue walking for about 15 minutes to reach Castello di Radda.
Train and Bus
Start at Firenze S.M.N. train station and take a train to Siena. The train ride takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Siena, exit the train station and find the SITA bus terminal nearby. Take a bus from Siena to Radda in Chianti. Upon arrival at the Radda in Chianti bus stop, walk east on Via Roma, then take a left onto Località Il Becco and continue for about 15 minutes to reach Castello di Radda.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a more direct route, you can book a taxi or use a rideshare service like Uber. Simply provide the driver with the address: Località Il Becco, 101/a, 53017 Radda in Chianti. The trip will take approximately 1 hour and will take you directly to Castello di Radda.
Bicycle Rental
For the adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Florence. Head towards the Arno River and follow the cycling paths leading out of the city towards Chianti. It’s a picturesque route but can be challenging due to hills. Depending on your cycling speed, expect the journey to take around 2-3 hours. Once you reach Radda in Chianti, follow the signs to Località Il Becco to find Castello di Radda.
