Car
If you're traveling by car, take the A4 motorway towards Trieste. Exit at 'Trieste - Lisert' and follow the signs for 'Sistiana' and 'Duino'. Continue on the SS14 road until you reach Duino. The castle is located at Frazione Duino, 32, 34011 Duino Aurisina TS. There is free parking available near the castle.
Train
For those using public transportation, take a train to the 'Trieste Centrale' station. From there, board a regional train towards 'Monfalcone' and get off at 'Duino-Aurisina' station. The castle is about a 15-minute walk from the station. Exit the station and head towards the SS14 road, then follow the road signs directing you to Duino Castle. Bus
You can also take a bus from Trieste to Duino. At 'Trieste' bus station, look for buses heading to 'Duino' or 'Aurisina'. The bus ride takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Duino stop, the castle is a short walk away. Keep in mind that there may be a small fare for the bus, typically around €2-3 for a one-way ticket.
