Walking

From the Pisa Centrale train station, exit and head southwest on Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. Continue straight until you reach Via Roma. Turn left onto Via Roma and walk until you reach the bus station located at Piazza dei Martiri della Libertà. Take the bus to Lucca (Line 1) which departs frequently. Once you arrive in Lucca, transfer to the bus heading to Careggine. The bus to Careggine will take you close to Isola Santa. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary.

Take the local bus from Pisa to Lucca. From Lucca's main bus station, transfer to a bus that heads to Careggine. The total travel time is approximately 2 hours, depending on connections. Make sure to purchase your tickets at the station or in advance online. Once you arrive in Careggine, Isola Santa is a short walk from the bus stop. Look for signs leading to Isola Santa, and follow the path that leads you towards the village.

Train and Bus

Start at Pisa Centrale and take a train towards Lucca. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lucca, exit the train station and head to the bus terminal nearby. Look for buses that go to Careggine. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. After arriving in Careggine, follow local signage to Isola Santa, which is about a 15-20 minute walk from the bus stop.
