Car
From Garfagnana, take the SS445 road towards Lucca. Once you reach Lucca, follow the signs for the A11 motorway and head towards Pisa. Merge onto the A12 motorway towards La Spezia. After approximately 45 km, take the exit for La Spezia. Continue on the SS1 road following the signs for Porto Venere. When you arrive in Porto Venere, follow the signs to the harbor area. Doria Castle is located on Via dei Mulini, just above the harbor. There is parking available nearby, but it can be limited during peak tourist seasons.

Public Transportation
From Garfagnana, take a train from the nearest station (e.g., Castelnuovo di Garfagnana) to La Spezia. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once in La Spezia, transfer to a local bus (Line 11) towards Porto Venere. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Disembark at the main bus stop in Porto Venere. From there, walk towards the harbor and follow the signs for Doria Castle, which is a short uphill walk along Via dei Mulini.
