Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Herculaneum archaeological site, exit the site and head towards the main street, Corso Resina. Walk straight until you reach the Circumvesuviana train station (about 10 minutes on foot). Take the train to Naples Garibaldi station. Once at Garibaldi, transfer to the metro Line 1 towards Piscinola and get off at the 'Mergellina' stop. From Mergellina, walk towards the harbour and catch a ferry to Capri. After arriving at Capri, follow the signs to the Funicular railway. Take the funicular up to the main square (Piazza Umberto I). From the square, head towards Via Tragara by walking straight and slightly to the right. Follow Via Tragara until you reach the Belvedere Tragara, which will be on your left.

Ferry
From Herculaneum, walk to the Circumvesuviana train station and take the train to Naples. Once in Naples, head to the ferry terminal located at Beverello. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Capri. The ferry ride takes about 50 minutes. Upon arriving in Capri, exit the ferry terminal and follow the signs for the Funicular railway. Ride the funicular up to the main square (Piazza Umberto I). From there, walk towards Via Tragara; it’s a short walk to the left of the square. Continue along Via Tragara until you reach the Belvedere Tragara, which will be directly ahead.
