Getting there

Walking

From the central area of Herculaneum, start by heading towards the Herculaneum train station (Stazione di Ercolano). Exit the station and walk towards Corso Resina. Turn right onto Corso Resina and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Via Pugliano. Turn left onto Via Pugliano and walk straight until you reach the bus stop for the Anm bus line. Take the bus heading towards Naples. Once you arrive in Naples, get off at the nearest stop to Via Tito Angelini.

Public Transportation

From Herculaneum, you can take the Circumvesuviana train from the Herculaneum station to the Garibaldi station in Naples. From Garibaldi, transfer to the Metro Line 1 and travel towards Piscinola. Get off at the Museo station. From there, you can either walk up Via Monte di Dio or take a bus towards Via Tito Angelini. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Castel Sant'Elmo, which should be visible from various points in the area.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Herculaneum to Castel Sant'Elmo.
