From the central square of Herculaneum (Piazza V. Veneto), head east on Corso Resina towards Via Roma. Continue straight until you reach the end of Corso Resina, where it meets the main road (SS145). Cross the road and take the bus (Bus Line 1 or 2) towards Naples. Get off at the stop 'Via Capodimonte' which is approximately a 20-25 minute ride. Once you get off, walk up Via Capodimonte for about 5 minutes until you reach the Catacombs of San Gennaro at Via Capodimonte, 13.

From Herculaneum, walk to the Ercolano Scavi train station. Take the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Napoli Porta Nolana' stop. From the train station, exit and look for the bus stop for local buses. Board the bus (Bus Line 1 or 2) towards Capodimonte. Disembark at the 'Via Capodimonte' stop. Walk for about 5 minutes along Via Capodimonte, and you will arrive at the Catacombs of San Gennaro located at Via Capodimonte, 13.
