Walking
Start at the Herculaneum Archaeological Park entrance. Exit the park and walk towards Corso Resina. Once on Corso Resina, turn left and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn right onto Via Roma and continue straight. After approximately 1 kilometer, you'll arrive at the train station, Stazione di Ercolano Scavi. From here, take the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento and get off at Salerno station. Upon exiting the station, follow signs for 'Centro'. Walk straight for about 800 meters until you reach Piazza Alfano I, where the Cathedral of Santa Maria degli Angeli, San Matteo and San Gregorio VII is located.

From Herculaneum, make your way to the nearest Circumvesuviana train station, Stazione di Ercolano Scavi. Purchase a ticket to Salerno. Board the train heading towards Sorrento. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at Salerno station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs for 'Centro', which will guide you to the main streets. Walk straight for about 800 meters, and you will arrive at Piazza Alfano I, where the Cathedral of Santa Maria degli Angeli, San Matteo and San Gregorio VII is located.
