Walking
From the central area of Herculaneum, start at the Herculaneum Archaeological Park entrance. Exit the park and head towards Corso Resina. Walk along Corso Resina until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn left onto Via Roma and continue straight. You will pass through the charming streets of Herculaneum. After approximately 500 meters, you will reach the Herculaneum train station (Stazione di Ercolano). From here, take a train to Sorrento, which is about a 30-minute journey. Once you arrive at the Sorrento train station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal located next to the train station. Take the SITA bus to Positano. The bus ride will take about 45 minutes, and it will take you directly to the main square of Positano (P.za dei Mulini).

Starting from your accommodation in Herculaneum, make your way to the closest bus stop. Board a SITA bus heading towards Sorrento. Inform the bus driver you are going to Positano. The bus journey will take approximately 1 hour, and you will enjoy scenic views of the Amalfi Coast along the way. The bus will drop you off at the main square in Positano, specifically at P.za dei Mulini, where you can start exploring the beautiful town.
