Start at Herculaneum's main train station, Ercolano Scavi. Exit the station and head south on Via Roma. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Corso Resina. Turn left onto Corso Resina and walk for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Via Nazionale. Here, turn right onto Via Nazionale and follow it for about 700 meters. You will eventually come to the Sorrento train station where you can catch the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Sorrento station, exit the station and walk straight ahead to reach Piazza Antiche Mura, which is just a short 5-minute walk from the station.

From Herculaneum, make your way to the Ercolano Scavi train station. Purchase a ticket for the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento. The train departs frequently, and the ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Sorrento station, exit the station and walk straight for about 5 minutes to reach Piazza Antiche Mura. It is a straightforward route, and you can ask locals for directions if needed.

At the nearest bus stop in Herculaneum, look for the bus service heading towards Sorrento. Take the Sorrento-bound bus, which will take you directly to Sorrento.
