Walking
From the Herculaneum archaeological site, exit through the main entrance and head towards Via IV Novembre. Continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn left onto Via Roma and walk for approximately 600 meters. You will reach the Herculaneum train station. From the train station, take the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento and get off at the 'Napoli Garibaldi' station. Then, transfer to the Metro Line 1 towards 'Piscinola' and get off at 'Toledo' station. After that, follow the signs to the port where you can catch a ferry to Capri. Once you arrive at the Marina Grande port in Capri, walk up to the main square, and you will find the Piazzetta di Capri, located in Piazza Umberto I.
Bus
From Herculaneum, walk to the nearest bus stop on Via IV Novembre. Take the EAV bus line to the Sorrento train station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Sorrento, follow the signs to the ferry terminal. Purchase a ferry ticket to Capri. After arriving at the Marina Grande port in Capri, walk uphill towards the main square, where you will find the Piazzetta di Capri in Piazza Umberto I.
Taxi/Private Transfer
If you prefer a more direct option, consider booking a taxi from Herculaneum to the port of Naples. The journey typically takes around 30 minutes depending on traffic. Once at the port, you can buy a ticket for the ferry to Capri. After arriving at Marina Grande in Capri, walk up to the main square to reach the Piazzetta di Capri located in Piazza Umberto I.
