Walking
From the Herculaneum archaeological site, exit and head east towards Corso Resina. Turn left onto Corso Resina and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn right onto Via Roma, and continue walking until you reach the town square, Piazza della Repubblica. From there, head towards the train station (Stazione di Ercolano) by following the signs. Once you reach the station, you can take a local train or follow the signs to the footpath that leads to Sentiero degli Dei.

From Herculaneum, walk to the Ercolano train station. Take the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento and get off at the Vico Equense station. From there, follow the signs for Sentiero degli Dei, which is a popular hiking trail, and you will find the access point to the trail leading up into the mountains.
