    From the central area of Herculaneum, head towards the Circumvesuviana train station. Exit the station and walk towards the main road, Corso Resina. Continue straight on Corso Resina until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn left onto Via Roma. Follow Via Roma until you reach the end of the street, where it meets Viale delle Terme. Turn right onto Viale delle Terme and continue walking until you reach the port area. Look for signs indicating the ferry terminal. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, board a ferry to Naples. Upon arrival in Naples, exit the terminal and walk towards Piazza del Municipio. From here, continue on Via Vittorio Emanuele until you reach the intersection with Via Monte di Dio. Turn left and then right onto Piazzetta Duca D'Aosta. The Teatro Augusteo will be on your left at number 263.

  • Train

    Start at the Herculaneum Circumvesuviana train station. Purchase a ticket for the train to Naples. Board the train heading to Napoli Centrale. After a short ride, get off at Napoli Centrale station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the Metro line 1 (the red line) and take the metro to Municipio station. After getting off at Municipio, exit the station and head toward the port area. Walk towards Piazza del Municipio, then continue on Via Vittorio Emanuele. Look for Via Monte di Dio and take a left.
