Car
From Irpinia, head southwest on the A16 highway toward Naples. After approximately 45 minutes, take the exit toward E45 in the direction of Battipaglia. Merge onto E45 and continue for about 30 minutes until you reach the exit for Ascea. Follow the signs to Ascea and then to Velia. The archaeological site is located at Piazzale Amedeo Mauiri, 84046 Ascea SA. Parking is available nearby, and be aware of potential parking fees, typically around €1-2 per hour.

From Irpinia, take a train from Avellino to Salerno. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and trains run regularly throughout the day. Once in Salerno, transfer to a regional train heading toward Vallo della Lucania - Castelnuovo. Disembark at the Ascea station, which takes about 40 minutes. From Ascea station, you can either walk (about 20 minutes) or take a local bus to Velia. The bus ride may cost around €2. Make sure to check the local bus schedule for accurate timings.
