Bosco Express: A Scenic Journey Above the Aosta Valley

Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, drive to the center of La Thuile. From the central square (Piazza della Libertà), head east on Via Roma, then take a left onto Strada Statale 26 (SS26). Follow SS26 for about 1.5 km. Look for signs indicating 'Bosco Express' and 'Funivia Petite Golette'. You will turn left onto Località Petite Golette, where you will find the Bosco Express cable car station. There is parking available nearby, but it may incur a fee, especially during peak tourist seasons.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Bosco Express via public transportation, start by taking a local bus from the La Thuile bus station. Look for buses heading towards 'Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo' or 'French Border'. Get off at the 'Petite Golette' stop, which is directly adjacent to the Bosco Express cable car station. The bus fare is typically around €2-€3, and buses run regularly, especially during the winter and summer seasons.

• Walking

  If you are in the town center of La Thuile, you can walk to Bosco Express. Begin at Piazza della Libertà and head east on Via Roma. Continue straight until you reach Via delle Alpi, then turn left. Follow this road for about 1 km, and you will see signs for Bosco Express. The walk takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Note that the walk is uphill, so wear comfortable shoes.
