Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from central La Thuile, head northeast on Via Roma toward Via delle Alpi. After about 1 kilometer, turn right onto Strada Statale 26 (SS26) and continue for approximately 3 kilometers. Look for signs indicating 'Frazione Petosan'. Once you reach the fork, take the road that leads to Trinceramenti del Principe Tommaso. Petosan is located in this area, and you should find parking nearby.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Petosan via public transportation, start by taking a local bus from the central bus station in La Thuile. Look for line number 1, which travels towards Frazione Petosan. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Disembark at the Petosan stop, which is near Trinceramenti del Principe Tommaso. From there, it is a short walk to the hiking area.   For those who prefer to walk from La Thuile, you can take a scenic route through the mountains. Start from Via Roma and follow the path that leads north toward the hiking trails. The walk to Petosan is approximately 4 kilometers and should take about 1 hour. The path is well-marked, but be sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water, as it can be steep in places.
