From La Thuile, take the SS26 road heading north. Continue on SS26 for approximately 15 km until you reach the junction with the SP27 road. Turn right onto SP27. Follow SP27 for about 10 km, passing through the charming village of Valpelline. At the next fork, bear left to stay on SP27. After another 5 km, you will see signs for Punta Chaligne. Park your car in the designated parking area near the trailhead.

Start at La Thuile bus station. Take the regional bus towards Aosta, which departs several times a day. After about 30 minutes of travel, get off at the Valpelline stop. From there, you will need to either walk or take a taxi to the trailhead that leads to Punta Chaligne, which is approximately 4 km away. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance for return times.
