Car
From Como, take the SS340 road north towards Menaggio. After approximately 20 km, take the exit towards Varese/Valganna. Follow the signs for Valganna. Continue on this road for about 10 km, and you will see signs for Lago di Ghirla. The lake is located on your right; look for parking areas nearby.
Public Transportation
From Como, take the train from Como San Giovanni station to Varese. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Varese, transfer to bus number 8 towards Valganna. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the stop for Lago di Ghirla, which is clearly marked. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the lake.
