Parco Artistico Orme su La Court, also known as Art Park La Court, is a distinctive open-air museum located in Castelnuovo Calcea, within the renowned vineyards of the Michele Chiarlo winery. Inaugurated in 2003, the park offers visitors a unique experience, blending contemporary art with the natural beauty of the Monferrato landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The park spans over 20 hectares and features a collection of sculptures and installations by internationally acclaimed artists such as Emanuele Luzzati, Ugo Nespolo, and Chris Bangle. The artworks are thoughtfully integrated into the vineyard setting, creating a harmonious dialogue between art, nature, and the winemaking tradition. Visitors can explore the park at their own pace, following a path that winds through the vines and discovering artistic interpretations of the four natural elements: earth, water, fire, and air. Highlights include Luzzati's whimsical sculptures, Nespolo's vibrant installations, and Bangle's Big Bench, offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills. The park also features a terracotta siren, an astrolabe with a large sun, and timber marker heads, each adding to the park's unique charm. In addition to the permanent collection, the park hosts cultural events and temporary exhibitions throughout the year. A downloadable app provides an interactive guide with information about the artworks and the winemaking process. Visitors can also enjoy wine tasting tours and picnics in the vineyards, further enhancing their sensory experience.
