    Discover more about Redabue Castle

Nestled in the rolling hills of Monferrato, Redabue Castle stands as a testament to centuries of Italian history. Originally built in the 13th century, the castle's strategic location made it a focal point for conflicts, particularly during the Monferrato wars of succession. It was often lost and retaken, suffering damage until Monferrato became part of the Savoy family in the 18th century. The castle features architectural elements from various periods, including tuff arches and brickwork dating back to the 13th century, crenellated towers, and a square tower separated from the main structure. While retaining remnants of its military past, alterations in the 17th and 18th centuries transformed it into a private residence. Since 1830, the Doria Lamba family has owned the castle, using it as their summer residence and transforming it into a venue for events. The grounds include a park of approximately 10 hectares with long avenues and lawns, a family chapel designed by Filippo Juvarra, and a historic cellar. Visitors can explore the salons, park, and cellar during special opening days.
