Constructed after 1585, this ancient tower served as a watchtower and marked the boundaries of Canelli. The tower's name comes from the Contini family, who owned the land in the 19th century.Today, the Torre dei Contini is open to the public free of charge. A romantic pedestrian path leads through vineyards cultivating Moscato grapes to the tower. Inside, a spiral staircase winds to the top, where small balconies offer 360-degree views. From this vantage point, the rolling hills of Langhe and Monferrato unfold, with the Alps and Ligurian Apennines gracing the horizon on clear days. The tower is considered one of the best panoramic viewpoints in the area.Canelli itself is known for its sparkling wines, particularly Asti Spumante and Moscato d'Asti.
