    Discover more about TOSO SPA

TOSO SPA is more than just a winery; it's a journey through four generations of Piedmontese winemaking tradition. Founded in 1910 by Vincenzo Toso, who moved his business from Asti to Santo Stefano Belbo, and later to Cossano Belbo in 1993, the winery has deep roots in the Belbo Valley. The area is known for its rising Langhe hills and the beloved Moscato grape. Today, great-grandsons Pietro and Gianfranco Toso, along with their cousin Massimo Toso, carry on the family tradition, blending time-honored techniques with modern vinification methods. TOSO SPA specializes in producing high-quality wines, including Moscato d'Asti and Asti Spumante, which have become symbols of the winery. They also produce classic Piedmontese wines like Barbera, Dolcetto, Cortese, and Nebbiolo, as well as vermouth and liqueurs. A visit to TOSO SPA offers a glimpse into the history of winemaking in the region. The Enomuseo Toso, located within the winery, showcases documents, images, and equipment from the past, providing insight into the evolution of winemaking techniques. The museum features a Vermouth Room, displaying old bottles and highlighting the winery's connection to this special Piedmontese product. Visitors can also see the "Herborist Table" which displays the ingredients used in making vermouth and liqueurs. The Lower Room exhibits agricultural machinery and tools used in vineyards and cellars from the mid-19th century onwards. The Upper Room displays a variety of tools, including manual spraying machines, corkscrews, and labels from different eras of Toso. With a blend of tradition and innovation, TOSO SPA offers a unique experience for wine enthusiasts and those interested in the rich cultural heritage of the Belbo Valley.
