The monument features a full-size bronze statue of Quintino Sella atop a granite plinth. Sella is depicted with his right hand on his chest and holding papers in his left. The monument also includes a bronze sculpture of Minerva, the goddess of wisdom, with a child holding a book labeled "Finance" at her feet. The monument serves as a reminder of Sella's contributions to Italian finance and politics. Sella was deeply involved in Italian politics and dedicated to the cultural and civil recovery of the nation. He also founded a mining school in Agordo in 1867 and established a museum to display metals, rocks, and fossils. He is buried in the Sacro Monte di Oropa cemetery, and a mountain shelter on Monte Rosa is named in his honor.
