    If you are driving from within Lazio, take the A1 highway toward Rome. Once you reach the city, follow the signs for 'Centro' and 'Colosseo'. You can park at nearby garages such as 'Parcheggio Colosseo' (Via di San Gregorio, 30) which charges approximately €2-€3 per hour. From the parking area, the Roman Forum is a short 10-minute walk. Head north on Via di San Gregorio, then turn left onto Via della Salara Vecchia, and you will see the entrance to the Roman Forum on your right.

  • Public Transportation - Train

    To reach the Roman Forum from other locations in Lazio using public transport, take a regional train to Roma Termini station. Once you arrive, exit the station and follow the signs to the 'Metro Line A' (Red Line). Take the metro in the direction of 'Battistini' and get off at 'Colosseo' station. The Roman Forum is a 5-minute walk from the metro exit. Exit the station and walk towards the Colosseum, then follow the road to your left which leads directly to the Roman Forum entrance.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    If you prefer to travel by bus, you can take one of the local buses from various points in Lazio to 'Rome'. Buses such as the 75, 81, or 87 will take you to the 'Colosseo' stop. From there, it's just a few minutes' walk. Head southwest on Via di San Giovanni in Laterano, then turn right onto Via della Salara Vecchia to reach the Roman Forum entrance.

  • Walking

    If you are already in central Rome, you can reach the Roman Forum on foot. From the Colosseum, walk towards Via di San Gregorio and take a left onto Via della Salara Vecchia. The entrance to the Forum will be on your right. The walk from the Colosseum should take about 10 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the area is cobblestoned.
