    From the first tunnel on the road towards Lago di Livigno, follow the road for a short distance. Take the trail on the left that leads towards Val Viera. Shortly after, branch off to the left again, following signs for Il Motto. The trail begins a steep ascent into the forest. Be prepared for a sustained climb.

  • Parking

    Drive towards the tunnel 'Munt la Schera' near Lago di Livigno. After the first tunnel, find the free parking area P2 on the right. From there, walk back towards the tunnel entrance and take the trail on the left, following signs for Val Viera and then Il Motto. Parking is free in Livigno during winter.
