Look for signs indicating the direction of Val del Gallo. The trail begins at the roadside and is clearly marked. The walk from the town center to the start of the trail takes approximately 30-40 minutes.

Take the local bus from Livigno center towards the direction of Lago di Livigno. Get off at the bus stop closest to the Val del Gallo trailhead. From the bus stop, follow the signs leading to the hiking area. The bus ride is free and operates frequently throughout the day.
