From the center of Castiglione di Garfagnana, follow the local road signs towards San Pellegrino in Alpe. The walk to Giro del Diavolo will take you through winding roads and possibly some uphill paths. Once you arrive in San Pellegrino in Alpe, follow the path indicated by CAI n. 50; in approximately 40 minutes you will arrive at the 'Giro' near the Alpe. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear. There are no specific costs involved in walking to Giro del Diavolo.

From Lucca, take a train to Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. From Castelnuovo, buses are available to Castiglione di Garfagnana. From Castiglione di Garfagnana, you may need to take a local bus towards San Pellegrino in Alpe or a taxi to get closer to the site. Bus tickets from Castelnuovo to Castiglione di Garfagnana typically cost around €1-€3. A taxi from Castiglione to the base of Giro del Diavolo could cost approximately €15-€25.

From anywhere in Garfagnana, head towards Castiglione di Garfagnana. Follow the SP13 road, which is well-signposted. Once in Castiglione di Garfagnana, follow local signs to Giro del Diavolo, located at 55033 Castiglione di Garfagnana. Parking is available nearby, though fees may apply. A new parking lot was opened just below Porta degli Inferi in 2022. Parking fees may range from €1-€5 per hour.
