Complesso Rupestre San Giorgio is located on Via Sette Dolori in the Sassi di Matera. From Piazza Vittorio Veneto, a central hub, walk south on Via Roma until you reach Via Sette Dolori. Turn left and continue for about 600 meters. The complex will be on your right. The walk is approximately 15-20 minutes. Walking is the easiest way to reach the site, as the Sassi area has restricted traffic. Taxis may not be able to navigate the narrow streets.
Public Transport

If arriving by bus from Bari, the bus will arrive at the Matera bus station. From there, it is approximately a 15-minute walk to Complesso Rupestre San Giorgio. Follow the signs towards the Sassi district and then to Via Sette Dolori. Matera's public transport includes buses run by Miccoli. A single ticket costs €0.80, or €1.50 if purchased on board. A ticket valid for 180 minutes costs €1.00.
Parking

If driving to Matera, it's recommended to park in one of the parking areas outside the Sassi. The Sassi area is a restricted traffic zone (ZTL).
