Train
From Milan, head to Milano Centrale train station. You can take the Metro Line 3 (yellow line) to Centrale FS if you are far from the station. At Milano Centrale, purchase a ticket to Como Lago. The train ride takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Como Lago station, exit the station and head towards the lakefront. From there, you can either walk or take a bus to Cernobbio. If you choose to walk, follow the lakeside path for approximately 30 minutes until you reach Villa Erba, located at Largo Luchino Visconti, 4.

From Milan, make your way to the bus terminal at Lampugnano. You can take Metro Line 1 (red line) to Sesto 1 Maggio FS and transfer to Metro Line 5 (lilac line) towards Garibaldi FS, then switch to Metro Line 2 (green line) to reach Garibaldi FS. From Garibaldi, take bus line C30 directly to Cernobbio. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Cernobbio, disembark and head towards Largo Luchino Visconti, where Villa Erba is located.

From Milan, travel to the city of Como. Take the Metro Line 1 (red line) to Garibaldi FS, then change to Metro Line 2 (green line) to reach the Cadorna station. From Cadorna, you can catch a train to Como Nord Lago which takes about 30 minutes. Once in Como, head to the ferry terminal located near the lakefront. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Cernobbio, which will take approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Cernobbio ferry dock, it's a short walk to Villa Erba at Largo Luchino Visconti, 4.
