Erected in the mid-15th century, Palazzo Cusani has a rich history, serving as a noble residence before becoming part of the University of Parma in the 17th century. After a careful restoration by the City of Parma, it reopened in 2002 as the Casa della Musica. The Casa della Musica comprises a concert hall, auditorium, library, and media center, as well as the Museo dell'Opera, Casa del Suono, and Museo Casa Natale Toscanini. The Casa del Suono explores the history of sound reproduction, while the Museo Casa Natale Toscanini is dedicated to the life and work of the famed conductor.
