From Modena, head to the Modena bus station (Stazione di Modena) located at Viale Vittorio Veneto, 1. Here, you can catch a bus to Vignola. Look for the bus line that goes to Vignola, typically marked as 'Vignola' or 'Bologna'. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Vignola, get off at the main bus stop (Piazza della Libertà). From the bus stop, walk towards the main square and continue straight until you reach Piazza dei Contrari. The Rocca di Vignola will be on your right.

Start at Modena train station (Stazione di Modena), located at Piazza Dante, 8. Purchase a ticket for Vignola, which is on the train line towards Bologna. The train ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Vignola train station, exit and head towards the main road (Via Roma). Turn left and continue walking until you reach the main square, Piazza della Libertà. From there, walk towards Piazza dei Contrari, where you will find the Rocca di Vignola on your right.

Walking
If you are staying in central Modena and prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route along the Via Emilia. Start at the Modena Cathedral (Duomo di Modena) and head east along the Via Emilia for about 6 kilometers. This will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Enjoy the beautiful views of the countryside as you walk. Once you reach Vignola, continue straight until you arrive at Piazza dei Contrari, where the Rocca di Vignola is located.
