Discover more about Parco delle Valli

Parco delle Valli, often called the 'green lung' of Rome's III Municipio, is a testament to community action and urban renewal. Located in the Conca d'Oro neighborhood, this 21-hectare parkland was initially intended for apartment buildings. However, after a nearly 15-year struggle, local residents successfully persuaded the city to purchase the land and transform it into a public park, which opened in 2006. The park offers a variety of attractions and amenities for visitors of all ages. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy a professional-grade athletic track and a CONI sports area. Families with children will appreciate the two playgrounds, one specifically designed for toddlers. The park also includes gazebos, benches, and a ping pong table. Two dog areas provide space for pets to roam freely. Parco delle Valli also serves as a gateway to the Aniene Valley Nature Reserve, where visitors can admire diverse bird species along the Aniene River. The park features two cycle paths, one of which connects to Villa Ada and Via Nomentana. A market, Mercatino Conca d'Oro, operates on weekends, offering various goods and food. While a senior center and bocce court were previously available, they are currently awaiting reconstruction following a fire. The association 'Gli Amici Di Conca D'Oro' organizes free events and initiatives, including environmental education and stargazing.
