Today, Limoncello di Capri continues to be crafted using the same time-honored methods. The key ingredient is the Sorrento lemon, a Protected Geographical Indication (P.G.I.) variety known as 'Ovale di Sorrento'. These lemons, grown on the Sorrento peninsula and the island of Capri, are cultivated using traditional techniques to ensure their unique aroma and flavor. Visitors can experience the magic of Limoncello di Capri firsthand at their transparent factory in Meta, near Sorrento. This unique facility allows guests to witness the entire production process, from the selection of the finest Sorrento lemons to the bottling of the liqueur. The tour concludes with a tasting of the authentic Limoncello di Capri, and an optional visit to the shop and terraced bar.
