Piazza Angelina Lauro: The Heart of Sorrento

Getting There

• Train

  From Naples, head to Napoli Centrale train station. You can take the Metro Line 1 from your nearest station to Napoli Centrale. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Sorrento at the ticket counter or from the automated machines. Board the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Sorrento station, exit the station and walk straight down Corso Italia until you reach Piazza Angelina Lauro, which is a short 10-minute walk.

• Bus

  From Naples, head to the bus station located at Piazza Garibaldi, next to Napoli Centrale train station. Look for the SITA bus that goes to Sorrento. You can purchase your ticket from the ticket office or from the driver. The bus ride takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Sorrento, get off at the main bus stop, and from there, it is a 5-minute walk to Piazza Angelina Lauro. Just head down Via degli Aranci and turn left on Corso Italia.

• Ferry

  Make your way to the Molo Beverello port in Naples. You can take the Metro Line 1 to Municipio station, then walk towards the waterfront. At the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Sorrento. The ferry ride offers beautiful views and takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Sorrento port, exit and walk up the hill to reach the town center. Continue on Via Marina Grande, and then turn onto Corso Italia to reach Piazza Angelina Lauro, which is approximately a 15-minute walk.
