Walking
Viale Pasitea is a central road in Positano and is easily accessible by foot from most points in the town. From Spiaggia Grande (the main beach), walk uphill following the main road; Viale Pasitea is a short walk from the ferry dock. From Piazza dei Mulini, walk along Via Cristoforo Colombo until you reach Viale Pasitea. Be prepared for some steep inclines and steps.
Public Transport
The local bus, Interno Positano, loops around Positano and stops along Viale Pasitea. Check the bus schedule for the Grey Key loop, which runs from Piazza Mulini to Via Marconi and Viale Pasitea. A single ride is approximately €5. SITA buses connect Positano to other towns on the Amalfi Coast. From Amalfi, take the SITA bus towards Positano; the bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the Positano bus stop and walk down the stairs towards the beach; Viale Pasitea runs parallel to the beach.
Taxi
Taxis are available in Positano, but they can be expensive due to the narrow and winding roads. A short taxi ride within Positano will cost a minimum of €6.40. From the Naples Airport to Positano by taxi will cost around €250. Be sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
Parking
Parking in Positano is challenging and expensive. There is no free parking in the center of Positano. Limited public parking spots are available along the lanes of the town center, but they are almost always full in the summer. Metered parking costs around €3/hour. Paid parking lots, such as De Gennaro and Mandara, charge €8-€10/hour. Consider parking in Nocelle or Montepertuso, small villages in the hills above Positano, and taking a bus to the center for €1.60 per person.
